Additional information

The association’s experienced astrophiles will take visitors on a journey of the celestial vault to hunt for shooting stars, showing the main astral bodies of the period (Jupiter, Saturn) through telescopes and pointing out some visible constellations.

In the afternoon of the same day, it will also be possible to visit the Villagrazia di Carini Catacombs, a striking underground monument pertaining to the early Christian community of Hyccara, with its maze of tunnels and tombs decorated with splendid frescoes dating back to the 4th century.

PLEASE NOTE: The catacomb is located in Villagrazia di Carini, while the castle is located in upper Carini: therefore, the two monuments are not in the same place, but at a distance of about 10 minutes by car from each other.
